Five stars!! Remind me of our experience in Spain. Cream puff is perfect not too sweet. I enjoyed the lemon glaze on the chocolate croissant, it balances out of sweetness from chocolate. Very authentic pastries and good coffee. Great place to relax!! Would be back in the future.

Spanish bakery that specializes in croissants and cheesecakes. Stopped by for some post-meal sweets. The shop didn’t have a massive selection, but every pastry on display looked enticing—croissants, tarts, Basque cheesecakes, eclairs, and more. It was a touch choice, and we eventually settled on a sweet cream-filled croissant, a plain croissant, an apple tart, and a few mini eclairs. Everything we tried was great, but the standout for me was the sweet cream-filled raspberry croissant with strawberry filling. The cream had a light, airy texture and wasn’t overly sweet, while the croissant’s slightly denser layers gave each bite a satisfying contrast to the creamy center. It brought back fond memories of strawberry-and-cream croissants from my childhood—a true nostalgia bite done right. They also nailed the basics with the plain croissant. While it wasn’t as buttery and flaky as a French croissant, the pillowy interior made up for it. Plus, it turned out to be the perfect vehicle for scooping up leftover cream from the other pastries. if you’re into creamy pastries and croissants, I highly recommend giving this place a shot.

Very good chocolate croissant. I may have lucked out that they seem to be recently out of the oven. Flakey pastry. Good amount of chocolate.

This was my first time visiting, and I practically tried almost everything they had—tarts, eclairs, croissants, and cake—even though I was convinced I wouldn’t like it. But after some friendly persuasion from a friend, I gave in. I’m writing this while enjoying the leftovers from yesterday, and let me tell you, I was in for a surprise! This is, without a doubt, the most delicious pastry shop I’ve ever been to. I’m absolutely blown away. My favorite has to be the raspberry creme-filled croissant with fresh strawberries inside. Wow, just wow. Highly recommend!

I judge bakeries by the quality of their chocolate chip cookie. Madrid has an amazing one! Gooey chocolate and a crisp exterior, soft chewy interior. So perfect. Their stuffed croissants are overflowing with cream. They have these little bite sized pies. It's a nice place to sit down and get some work done or catch up with a friend.

Absolutely delicious pastries! I’ve had everything they offer here, and it’s never been a bad experience. It’s a beautiful spot, and the the smell of croissants is intoxicating. Definite must try in Providence (and you will return ). The earlier you get there the better chance you have of finding a table, and it’s usually better to go on a weekday rather than weekend.

These are the best pastries I've had in New England bar none. The cream puffs in particular are stellar. The cream inside isn't the super-light whipped-cream-like item I'm used to having, instead it is a thicker richer cream that is truly delightful. I bought several and gave them out to friends and they got rave reviews across the board. The same can be said for their absolutely amazing Pastel Basco which is probably my favorite from them and *also* got rave reviews across the board. Better than the desserts in the North End of Boston from everyone I asked to try a bite. Update: my opinion remains the same, madird continues to be amazing.
